Peter Wadhams about the BOE, Blue Ocean Event in the Arctic
Eco-social strategist Stuart Scott interviews the worlds foremost Arctic ice-expert Professor Peter Wadhams in this youtubevideo about the issue.
Under the video is written: "The BOE is defined as less than 100,000 square km (should be one million, my remark) of ice in the Arctic ocean at the annual low point, usually September. An increasing number of estimates by scientific bodies places the first BOE since humans have walked the Earth within the next few years."
My comment: So does Peter Wadhams, too. In fact he states in the video that in a way the Blue Ocean Event has already happened in the Arctic as far as the methane threat is concerned, i.e. the dangerous threshold of ice melt has already happened as far as the methane release from the Arctic sea bed is concerned.
I do not believe in the fantasy technologies of geoengineering that they also discuss. It's hopium. Let's not make civilization, i.e. hell, eternal. Planetary death is a liberation for us all, so much suffering the earth contains nowadays.
