Technology is the Antichrist
I was a little initiated in the islamic sufi order Naqsbandi when I was in the little town of Orgiva in Southern Spain in the spring 2011, and there was taken care of by a Naqsbandi member in a little sufi center who washed me, gave me food (I was homeless in Spain then) and taught me some secrets of the order. Among other things he told me that technology is Dajjal, the Antichrist. I wept when he told me that Imam Mahdi, the second saviour figure of islam in the Second Coming of Jesus (in which muslims believe), will stop all technology with Takbir (means the cry "Allahu Akhbar!"). The following is from the former leader of the Naqsbandi order, Sheikh Nazim (1922-2014):
"When the order comes, when Al-Malhama (synonym to Armageddon, my remark) is over,
Mahdi (as) will say 3 Takbirs. 3 Takbirs. All the technology that is present on earth now, all of it
will stop. No ships, no planes, no tanks, no cannons, nothing will work."

"After a short time a tyrant will appear, well-known through traditions as the Anti-Christ. When Jesus Christ was on earth he never touched a sword, but now he is coming as a saviour. In his time all technology will be finished."
"A novel aspect of Sheikh Nazim's prophetic vision is his prediction that all technology, currently in the service of Shaitan, shall turn back upon itself. The very weapons of Shaitan -- the Devil's own tricks -- will also be his own undoing.
"It will not be a secret appearance. He (al-Mahdi) will appear with power, with so much power that everything will be taken away that technology is supporting and people are trusting in. He is coming with miraculous powers and he will open the seed of faith and make it grow up in the hearts of the people." "
